Lake Rescue Chalet – An Amenity-Packed Ski House Minutes From Okemo And Killington

Lake Rescue Chalet has it all – a glorious outdoor hot tub to sink into after a hard day skiing nearby Okemo or Killington. Six bedrooms. Two kitchens, two living rooms and two dining rooms. Plenty of room for your group of up to 16!

For the first time this winter, we are offering this charming ski chalet in central Vermont’s ski country for short-term winter vacation rental! Prime weekends—including Christmas, New Year’s, MLK and President’s Day—are available, but won’t be for long!

Lake Rescue Chalet’s location is perfect for skiers -- just 3 miles from Okemo’s Jackson Gore area and 12 miles from Killington’s Skyeship! The chalet sleeps 16 people on two levels that each feature full living areas – including a kitchen/living/dining room – and three bedrooms! Upstairs and down are connected by a wrought-iron spiral staircase, and each level has its own bathroom, fireplace, TV and VCR. It's a terrific home for families and friends who want to spend time together but also cherish their privacy.

The chalet’s upstairs level boasts a cathedral ceiling in the main living area, a wrap-around deck with lovely views of Lake Rescue, and a luxurious hot tub on the large back deck to relax after a strenuous day of skiing or a summer hike.

Downstairs has a spacious kitchen, exposed brick fireplace and beamed ceiling over the dining and living rooms.

Choose from nine ski areas within 30 miles -- the closest are Okemo, a family-friendly area just three miles down the road, and six-mountain Killington with sister Pico. Ascutney, Stratton, Bromley, Mount Snow, Magic Mountain and others are a few miles farther. Prefer cross-country? Head out the door and onto frozen Lake Rescue, or drive to some terrific XC areas nearby. You'll also find sledding, ice-skating, snowmobiling, horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowshoeing, and more right here in the Okemo Valley.

In the fall, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and feast your eyes on Vermont's glorious fall foliage tapestry of reds, oranges, and golds.

In warm weather you can also enjoy swimming, fishing, or just sunbathing at nearby Camp Plymouth State Park! Barbecue or relax with a good book on the deck, watch the great blue herons that live just over the ridge, look for the loon couple that took residence on lake Rescue last summer, play volleyball or croquet in the large yard, roast marshmallows over the fire pit, nap in a hammock in the woods, go hiking in the forest, take the family on a picnic, or go for a road or mountain bike jaunt. The possibilities are endless!

Later, drive into the nearby village of Ludlow to lap up some ice cream, enjoy a gourmet meal in one of its many restaurants – or just a slice of pizza -- and peruse the shops. Nearby you'll also find theatre, rafting, summer camps for kids, maple sugar, farms, antiquing, outlet shopping in Manchester, and much more.

A four-season delight!
